Crowe's fundraiser for Thames Valley Heartbeat

Eirini Sachollari is raising money for Thames Valley Heartbeat

Tough Mudder London West 2025 · 10 May 2025 to 11 May 2025 ·

We aim to support communities by providing public access defibrillators which are available 24/7. Thames Valley Heartbeat also provides free confidence building familiarisation sessions on CPR and the use of a defibrillator. Cardiac arrest is a leading cause of premature death, but with immediate treatment, many lives can be saved. The heart stops because the electrical rhythm that controls the heart is replaced by a disorganised electrical rhythm. The quicker this can be treated, the greater the chance of successful resuscitation. Cardiac arrest can be reversible, but it is vital it is recognised and acted upon in the first few seconds or minutes. Lives can be saved by CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

Story

We are fundraising for Thames Valley Heartbeat because we admire their drive and will to help others around our local community.

Thames Valley Heartbeat was set up in 2019 to raise funds to purchase defibrillators and provide familiarisation sessions in their use for communities within the Thames Valley area.

Tough Mudder is an event that tests the physical and mental challenge of an individual. We will be covering 5k and 15k as well as completing 20 gruelling obstacles over this period.

Some of these obstacles include: swimming through icy, muddy water, running through a series of electrical wires and also climbing large scaled structures.

Participants: There are a total of 25 members from the Crowe UK Thames Valley office also participating in this event on 11th of May 2025.
