I'm Sleeping Rough So Others Don't Have To!

EJ Foster is raising money for YMCA Black Country Group

YMCA Black Country Sleep Easy 2026 · 27 February 2026 ·

Sleep Easy is a fundraising challenge event asking you to spend one night sleeping rough, all to raise vital funds to help tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.

Story

My two children (Tayla 13/Jenson 10) and I, will be spending one night sleeping in a Merry Hill car park on the 27th February. This is our 4th year fundraising for the YMCA who provide a life changing and incredible service. This event always reminds us of how fortunate and grateful for the life we are able to live. We understand the rising issues many children and young adults across the Black Country often face, where they find themselves in vulnerable situations and have to escape abuse and many often become homeless.

My dear cousin Simon found the courage and will be joining us too. If you can’t make the sleep out, you can always help by making a donation.

This should never be the case for any child or young person, trying to survive in a world that feels unsafe and unloved. We feel it is important to help raise awareness and support by helping to raise much needed funds that will go towards rebuilding YMCA residents emotionally, mentally, physically, socially and financially by providing essential household items and appliances when they are ready to move on and build a safe place called ‘home’.

This will allow them to build a life they deserve and help them to find happiness in and create a better future.

Please give what you can and help me, help the next generation!
