Story
On 11 October I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, 13.1 miles through central London, and I'm doing it for The Royal Parks charity.
If you live in or near London, you've almost certainly benefited from their work without thinking about it. Eight parks, 170,000 trees and around 7,000 species of wildlife sit in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world, and keeping them that way costs money. The charity funds the conservation, the wildlife habitats, the tree planting and the community programmes that keep these spaces free and open to everyone.
I've spent a lot of hours in these parks over the last couple of years, whether that's walking, taking photos or just getting out of my room, and they've done more for my head than I probably realise. Running 13.1 miles feels like a fair way to pay some of that back.
My target is £350. Anything you can give goes straight to The Royal Parks charity, and it genuinely all helps. Thank you.
