The North East Trust for Aphasia (NETA) supports people with aphasia and their carers. Aphasia means difficulties with communication, often following stroke. The person with aphasia can have problems speaking, understanding, reading and writing. This can have major effects for both the person and their family in terms of social life, work and relationships.

I’m a Speech & Language Therapist and although I’ve predominantly worked with children and young people throughout my career, I understand the impact of language and communication needs across the lifespan. This is my 5th marathon and marathon training doesn’t get any easier the more marathons you run! I am grateful for any donations, no matter how small.
