I am taking part in the 2026 Norfolk Churches Trust fundraising event.

This year I will again be travelling by bus because care of the environment is important to me and my cycling days are past! Maybe I'll meet Paddington again?

I think the Bike Ride and Walk is important because Norfolk’s churches are an architectural treasure and I know the upkeep for things like windows and roofs is mainly down to the local parishes and fundraising by local people. I want to help churches and chapels to be kept open for everyone to enjoy. Hundreds like me cycle, walk or drive to raise awareness and funds.

About half of the money I raise will go to Fakenham Parish Church where we are planning improvements by creating a larger and more welcoming space with underfloor heating at the rear of the nave to facilitate a variety of social events or gatherings for the whole community.
