WellChild Berlin and Copenhagen Half Marathons 2026

Elaine Garner is raising money for WellChild

Berlin Superhalf 2026 · 29 March 2026 ·

Run the 2026 Berlin Superhalf for WellChild and help seriously ill children to thrive at home.

Story

This year I’ll be taking on two half marathons — Berlin and Copenhagen — to raise money for WellChild, an incredible charity that supports seriously ill children and their families.

This is a big challenge for me. I still very much feel like a novice runner — it definitely doesn’t come naturally — so committing to not just one but two races is both exciting and slightly terrifying!

I’m running both events alongside my high school friend Sarah, who used to hate our school runs around Roath Park Lake as much as I did. If you’d told either of us back then that we’d be signing up for international half marathons, we’d definitely not have believed you.

WellChild do incredible work helping families care for children with complex health needs, and every donation — big or small — will help support their vital services.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give. It really means a lot. 💜

More about WellChild:

WellChild enables children with complex medical needs to thrive at home by funding specialist nurses, connecting families through peer support, providing hands-on training, and transforming outdoor spaces.

Your donation will help to give this growing population of children and young people the best possible chance to thrive: properly supported at home, together with their families.

• £150 could provide a day of a WellChild Family Coordinator’s time to support families through the WellChild Family Tree

• £50 could fund a Parent Ambassador to host a local support group for parent carers in their region

• £20 could connect a WellChild Family to our vital information and support service, the WellChild Family Tree
