This year, I turned 60 and on one of my birthday cards it read - KEEP DOING YOU AND INSPIRING US. I am running London Marathon for Edgars Gift as they inspired me. Based in the East Midlands (where I Live) and run purely by family & friends on a volunteer basis, the Charity aims to raise money, which will enable them to provide special days out, unique experiences and luxury gifts to young adults (aged 18 to 30) who are suffering with Cancer.

The Charity was set up in 2010 in memory of Ben Edkins, who passed away at just 25 years old following his battle with a rare & aggresive form of muscle cancer. The charity was founded by Ben's parents alongside Ben's family & friends - all of whom Ben influenced and had a special and positive effect on their lives.

For the first time, the Charity, Edgars Gift, has been awarded just One place for the next LONDON MARATHON 26th April 2026, which in itself is a huge honour for me & I hope to do the Charity proud.

On the 30th January 2026 please come along to Music Bingo at Hinckley Golf Club, fun starts at 7pm. £5 a ticket with first game free, with a chance to win £££.
