Story
To celebrate National Walking Month, the Elanders UK management and production teams are joining forces to lace up their boots and take on a challenge! We will be trekking across the iconic Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s Monument to raise vital funds and awareness for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
We wanted to channel our collective steps into supporting a charity that does extraordinary, life-saving work right on our doorstep.
Why We Are Trekking for GNAAS
The Great North Air Ambulance Service rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria.
Here is why your donation matters:
Hospital-Level Care, Anywhere: Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments directly at the scene of an incident—whether that is on a remote fell top, a busy roadside, or a city centre.
Constantly in Demand: The charity responded to 2,083 call-outs in 2024 alone via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles.
The Ultimate Difference: On every single one of those missions, they perform advanced treatments and procedures that can literally mean the difference between life and death.
As a charity, GNAAS relies heavily on public donations to keep their choppers in the air and their rapid-response vehicles on the road.
How You Can Help
Please consider sponsoring the Elanders team as we take on the hills. Every pound we raise directly helps GNAAS bring the hospital to the patient when time is running out.
Thank you so much for your support!
