Story
On 12th July, our team is taking on an incredible challenge – trekking across the stunning North York Moors including through Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay – to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
This isn’t just a walk. We have two teams, one walking 26 miles (nearly a full marathon) and another walking 13 miles in a single day across rugged and breath taking terrain. It’s a test of endurance, strength, and spirit – but every step we take is for a cause greater than ourselves.
Dementia affects nearly one million people across the UK. The Alzheimer’s Society works tirelessly to provide support, fund ground breaking research, and campaign for change so that no-one has to face dementia alone. Their work offers hope, comfort, and practical help to countless people – something that becomes even more critical as the number of people affected by dementia continues to rise.
We know the trek will be tough, with long hours on our feet, steep climbs, and uncertain weather. But we are motivated with the knowledge that our efforts will help to make a real difference through funding the wonderful work of The Alzheimer’s Society.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring us closer to a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
Together we can take a step towards a better future.
Thank you for much for your support!
