On Thursday 14 March, I'll be participating in a one-day Ramadan fastingchallenge run by the Muslim Network at my workplace. I'll be fasting from 4.36am to 6.07pm.

This is not only an act of inter-faith solidarity but I also want to raise funds for Afghan Aid. I am fortunate to have the choice to forgo some of the comforts of my daily life for one day, but many in Afghanistan have to endure hardship day after day.
