This October, I'm taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise vital funds for Cardiff University's groundbreaking research into neuroscience, mental health and cancer.

This is a cause that means a lot to me personally. Like many families, mine has been affected by both Dementia and various forms of cancer - experiences that are never easy to hear or navigate. I have seen how ruthless these conditions can be, and how much of a difference early diagnosis and better treatments can make for those going through them.

By running, I am helping to support research at Cardiff University that is working on better ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions - from ADHD, depression and schizoprenia, to Alzheimer's and some of the most common cancers including breast, prostate and bowel, as well as those that are rarer or hard to treat.
