We are Ellie and Emily and we are part of Team Super Theo raising money for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust by running the London Marathon 2026!

This is Emily’s second Marathon and Ellie’s first! We are determined to smash it and below explains why.

Theo was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia -a very rare and life threatening blood disorder- in May 2023. Without the Aplastic Anaemia trust we would have been completely lost, navigating this devastating diagnosis alone. Ellie found the support invaluable. Especially the dedicated Facebook group that was always there, no matter the time of day, with answers and guidance. The trust also kept in touch regularly and sent Theo a care package to cheer him up when isolating. As the transplant day grew closer. Ellie was able to do a managing stress and anxiety course completely free. Without the Aplastic Anaemia Trust, life after diagnosis would have been even more traumatic than it was.

Unfortunately more and more people are still being diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia. We want to support the trust so it can continue to support others like us, and continue the research and awareness into this horrible disease.
