Alex & Eleanor's fundraiser for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK

Eleanor Oldham is raising money for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK

Eryri Marathon · 25 October 2025

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK exists to support and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness, and influencing improvements in outcomes.

Story

On the 25th of October, my sister and i will be taking on the Eryri Marathon to support Neuroendocrine cancer.

Neuroendocrine cancer is rare, and the husband of my mum’s close friend, Gareth, is living with it right now. He is a devoted husband and father to two young daughters, and his journey has shown us just how urgently more awareness and research are needed. While the money we raise may not directly change Gareth’s situation, our goal is to raise the profile of this condition, push for better treatments, and help others facing the same diagnosis. By supporting this cause, you’re not only showing solidarity with Gareth and his family, but also helping shine a light on a disease that deserves more attention, care, and hope for the future of other families going through the same thing.
