Eleanor's fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
Katie and I have decided to take on the Royal Parks half marathon for GOSH in October.
GOSH is a charity that is close to both our hearts, for the life saving and supportive care they offered to my sister, Lucy as a child and teenager.
Lucy was disabled and a wheelchair user. She was also clever, funny and an amazing composer who achieved and undergraduate degree and masters degree in musical composition from the Royal College of Music. Alongside this Lucy worked for various musical charities, including drake music, supporting other young disabled and neurodiverse people to get involved in
Lucy sadly passed away in 2021, but without the care and support of the staff at GOSH we may have had significantly less time with her. As well as providing life saving medical care GOSH encouraged Lucy with school, and particularly music. Despite some really difficult times, including multiple admissions to PICU, the staff at GOSH were on hand to provide emotional support for us as family and loved ones.
The care provided by GOSH is felt by so many children like Lucy, and families like ours from all around the world and I will be forever grateful for everything they did for us. We would really appreciate any support you can give whilst we limp our way around 21 kilometres of London landmarks and parkland.
