Running the London Marathon 2026 in Memory of My Nan — Supporting the Fight Against Huntington’s Disease
Huntington’s Disease is a cruel genetic illness that slowly robs people of their movement, speech, and memory. I lost my beloved nan to this disease, and watching her struggle was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. It’s heartbreaking to see someone you love gradually lose their independence and the person they once were.
To honour her memory and help others affected by Huntington’s Disease, I am running the London Marathon 2026 (my first ever running event!) to raise funds for the Huntington’s Disease Association. This incredible organisation provides vital support to families, funds research for better treatments, and raises awareness so no one has to face this journey alone.
Every step I take (or hobble😅) in the marathon will be for those living with Huntington’s Disease and their families. Your donation will help bring care, hope, and progress in the fight against this disease.
Please join me in making a difference by supporting my run and the Huntington’s Disease Association. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
P.S. Please note that when you donate on JustGiving they add an *optional* tip or charge for their platform. This tip or charge can be changed or removed before completing your donation.
