Story

In February 2024 my fiancé Tom was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, osteosarcoma, after experiencing unusual pain in his left leg. Thanks to Tom's incredible medical team he was treated quickly and in March '24, he underwent a grueling 13 hour bone transplant to replace his femur and remove his fibula. Following the surgery he endured 9 months of intense chemotherapy and had to learn to walk again, which is still work in progress one year on.

We will be forever grateful to the numerous NHS Drs, Nurses, physios and admin staff at the Royal Free Hospital, UCLH Macmillan Cancer Centre, Pure Sports Medicine and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital with a special shout out to his surgeon Dr Lee Bayliss, oncologist Professor Sandra Strauss & the ambulatory care team that kept him laughing every day of chemo.

On the 27th April I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Sarcoma UK, a bone and soft tissue cancer charity funding vital research and offering support to those affected by sarcoma cancer.

Any donation would mean the world to me and will help bring us one step closer to finding a cure once and for all.

Life doesn't always go to plan and you never know what's around the corner. Early detection is key and so if something doesn't feel quite right, please get yourself checked.

My rock and the strongest person I know. Love you Tom ♥️
