Our Stroke Warrior Turns One!

Kimberley Sim is raising money for Stroke Association
Celebrating the birthday of Eleanor

on 30 May 2026

Every day in May, another 240 people will face the life-changing impact of a stroke. This Stroke Awareness Month, let's Make May Purple to raise awareness and fund vital support for all people affected by stroke.

Story

This month, our precious little girl celebrates her very first birthday on 30 May 2026. Many of you know that she faced a stroke at birth, and the overwhelming support, kindness, and understanding we have received over this past year have touched our hearts beyond words. Watching her grow into a happy, confident, strong, and determined little girl has been nothing short of inspirational.

However, we are also deeply aware of the ongoing need for stroke support and research to help families like ours navigate the challenges ahead. Every day in the UK, 240 people wake up to the life-altering impact of stroke. Charities like the Stroke Association provide vital support, information, and hope to survivors and their families during these difficult times.

For those who may not know, I’m the person behind Fife Family Focus, and through running the page I’ve been incredibly lucky to connect with such a supportive local community.

In honour of her first birthday, we are aiming to raise £200 for the Stroke Association. If you have ever found local resources like Fife Family Focus helpful, or simply wish to celebrate this milestone with us by making a donation — even just a pound or two — it would mean the world to us. Your generosity will directly contribute to supporting those affected by stroke and advancing crucial research.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our family and this incredible cause 💜
