We conduct world class medical research projects. We diagnose and treat thousands of people with epilepsy every year. We do this and much more. We are the UK’s national medical epilepsy charity. With Epilepsy Society, you don’t have to deal with epilepsy alone.

Story

My Story

I am taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon as part of Epilepsy Society's Team Purple!

Running the London Marathon is not only a dream come true, but also a source of pride and fulfillment, especially because I’m doing it for a cause that’s particularly close to my heart.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder, an unexplained brain activity which occurs on different ways and at different levels of intensity, thereby impacting the human body uncontrollably. That is, the impact on people lives is tangible. Available treatments may help manage the symptoms but there is no effective cure for it. Epilepsy diagnosis comes with uncertainty, uncertainty of when the next episode may happen or what if may happdn again while under treatment. To some extent epilepsy may also come with a fear of living. It is indeed important to fund vital medical research that is much more needed in this space. Any donation, either small or big will be of great value to help supporting this cause, to better understand how epilepsy may arise or what you could do to prevent it before it happens and how.

Your donations will also help supporting services for people living with epilepsy and their families to find strength and guidance.

Epilepsy Society is the UK's only charity transforming the lives of people living with epilepsy through world-leading research, advocacy and care.

Any donation you can give will help them to continue their incredible work and will spur me on throughout my training!

Thank you so much for your support!
