On Saturday 7th November 2026, we are delighted to be joining churches from all around the UK in Tearfund's Big Quiz Night.

The money raised from your quiz will support our Transforming Communities programme, which helps local churches around the world lead their communities out of extreme poverty and into a sustainable future.

Your support could be the lifeline that many people, like Natalina, so desperately need. Natalina lives in Uganda with her husband and five daughters. For many years, her life was filled with struggle. Lack of food and water meant that she couldn’t provide for the family. Her daughter became unwell and there was conflict between Natalina and her husband.

But, after receiving support and learning sustainable agriculture skills through Tearfund partner CAFRAHD, Natalina’s life – and her family’s – started to change.

Using her new skills, Natalina began to grow kale, tomatoes, and amaranth (a type of seed with an earthy, nutty flavour). Today, Natalina uses a local savings group to build a small business and is working together with her local community to make improvements to their village. Her daughter is now well and peace has been restored to their household.

‘My husband has become a very good person, he has chosen peace.’ says Natalina. ‘He says God is good, the God you pray to is a big God.’
