Story
The Ella Rose Trust Fund is named after, Ella Rose Voke. Ella struggled with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) , sometimes called Borderline Personality Disorder.
Although I never personally met Ella. I have heard many great things about her such as her loyalty to her friends, passion for minority rights and the environment.
Ella was also a vegan and loved animals, especially her dog. Ella loved the outdoors, particularly the sea.
Ella was loved by her family and friends, but EUPD made Ella dislike herself.
People with EUPD are unable to flexibly respond to, and manage their emotions. They have a heightened emotional sensitivity with a tendency towards negative feelings which may come on rapidly and overwhelmingly.
The Ella Rose Fund has been set up to help young people who are struggling with mental health problems to survive and thrive.
The primary focus of the Ella Rose fund is to resource ‘talking therapy’ for people in the age group between 18 and 30 suffering from EUPD.
The Ella Rose Fund receives donations from individuals and organisations and then directs the funds through the Quartet Community Foundation to applicants. The foundation gives small grants to small local charitable organisations, such as the Ella Rose fund.
