Story
Hiya mate!
On the 29th of June, I’ll be partaking in the Ultra Comedy Liverpool event at Hangar 34 where I’ll be having a crack at Stand Up comedy.
As part of the event, I wanted to use the opportunity to raise some money for one of Liverpool’s most important charities - WHISC.
For those who don’t know what WHISC is.. well I’ll let them explain..
WHISC. The Women’s Health Information & Support Centre (WHISC) is a charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and their families throughout Liverpool and the surrounding areas. We support women who are living with anxiety, depression stress-related illness and those who are feeling isolated or simply in need of a listening ear. Women can join free workshops, classes and training courses at our warm and welcoming City-based centre.
Having been supported by organisations like this myself while growing up, I know just how important charities like this can be for women and families. As such, I’d like to raise a minimum of £280 (£10 for each year I’ve been alive.)
So now, I have just under 2 months to write, practice and not find a way out of a short set before performing on a line up of brilliant people, trying to raise a bit of cash for charity, by having a laugh; hopefully, in front of some of you.
Tickets aren’t cheap so I don’t expect you all to come but I do expect you to not be a crank and throw us a few quid for charity.
Cheers mate!
