I'm taking part in Challenge 79 in aid of Spoons Neonatal Family Support charity.

When this challenge was advertised and I found that the dates of the challenge (based on the creators dates of their child being in NICU) were so very similar to the amount of time and dates our super star boy was in hospital I thought it was a clear indication that I should get involved.

This time of year, edging nearer to Harry’s birthday and World Prematurity Month, is always an emotional time for us and I’d love to put this energy into something positive. After all I’d much rather be walking every day than going through the experience we had five years ago.

Spoons are an incredible charity supporting families who find themselves in Neonatal care. They supported us and we want to continue to support them by raising vital funds for all work they do. Premature birth and the NICU weren’t even mentioned to us before Harry was born, as parents who enter this experience, there are very few who are knowledgeable and prepared so any support is so incredibly needed and appreciated.
