Elise's fundraiser for Bexley Women's Aid

Elise Hodson is raising money for Bexley Women's Aid

Activities event in the gym

The mission of Bexley Women’s Aid is to enable and empower women and children experiencing domestic abuse to obtain and sustain a safe living environment. For over 48 years, BWA has been committed to providing support and refuge to women and their children affected by domestic abuse. Additionally, as the charity has grown, we now also provide community education in the hope of teaching children and young people about healthy respectful relationships.

Story

This October, we’re coming together as a gym community for 31 Acts of Strength — 31 days of strength, awareness and action in support of people affected by domestic abuse.

Alongside taking on my own daily challenges, I’ll be inviting gym members and fellow staff members to get involved throughout the month. Each act will have a physical or mental wellbeing element, giving everyone the opportunity to take part, challenge themselves and help raise awareness of an important cause.

We’re raising money to support people affected by domestic abuse and help provide the vital support, advice and safe spaces they need.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps us turn our strength as a community into meaningful support for others. 💜
