Elise's fundraiser for Kilimanjaro Trek

Elise Toes is raising money for Student Minds

Kilimanjaro Trek 2025 · 3 October 2025 to 12 October 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Student Minds empowers students to build their own mental health toolkit. We also challenge the higher education sector, health sector, and government to make student mental health a priority. Together, we’re improving university communities so that no student is held back by their mental health.

Story

This is an amazing opportunity, offered to me through Leeds Beckett University, to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in support of Student Minds. The money raised will directly contribute in supporting the mental health of students as well as increasing awareness within higher education.

Donations raised up to my fundraising target will be split between Student Minds and supporting the costs of the challenge. Any further donations will go towards my chosen charity, The Alzheimer’s Society.

Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain and the world largest free standing mountain at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). The expedition will be an 6 day trek, involving 5 days up to the summit and a day back down to base.

My grandad climbed Kilimanjaro in 2013 and inspired by him, I wanted to follow in his footsteps.

My training will start in early 2025 starting with climbing Scafell Pike alongside organising various fundraising events in the lead up to the challenge!

Thank you so much for the support and any donations are greatly appreciated!
