Story
My grandma has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. The news was scary to us all, but as a family, we have come to realise the importance of continued support and reassurance to help her continue to live a happy and independent life.
From my personal experience so far, I often find myself feeling helpless, wishing I could do more. Completing this walk is an action I can take, as my quiet contribution, to raising both awareness and funds. By doing so, I can support her, in a more indirect way, in moments where I otherwise feel helpless.
Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
