Story
Our son Alexander was four when he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma — a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that changed everything. From the start, it was stage 4 high-risk disease.
He is one of the lucky ones. I know that. I am endlessly grateful for that.
That is why Benny’s journey cuts so deeply. I know exactly how his family feels. The fear of relapse is something I cannot allow myself to fully imagine — the weight of it is overwhelming. I feel for them in a way words struggle to carry.
That is why I am walking for Benny. Because when you have lived this journey, you cannot look away from a child who is still in it.
