My name is Elissia Powell, and I have lived with a VP shunt since I was 13. Over the years, I’ve undergone multiple surgeries for blocked shunts, and through it all, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible support and care provided by SHASBAH – the Sheffield Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. This charity does amazing work for both children and adults living with these conditions, and I’m passionate about helping them continue their vital work.

In June 2024, I took on a personal challenge, walking 100km in 22.5 hours to raise funds for SHASBAH. This June, I’m taking on the challenge again. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference and will be hugely appreciated. Thank you for supporting me and helping SHASBAH continue their fantastic work!
