On Friday 22nd September, a group of 11 Elite staff members are pushing themselves to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, taking on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), trekking 24 miles in under 12 hours – hopefully!

We’ve chosen to make the trek a fundraising challenge to spur our team on in the tough times they’ll encounter and have chosen a charity with sentimental value to a member of ‘Team Elite’.

Sinead Gravill, the wife of marketing team member Andy, has been fighting her breast cancer diagnosis since March 2022. Sinead was selected out of hundreds of applicants to participate in this year’s Coppafeel Trek, raising £5,215 as she embarked on her 100km, 5-day trek. To continue Sinead’s amazing fundraising work, giving back to the charities that have helped her over the last 18 months, we have selected a charity that has provided support to their four children throughout her battle.

During her treatment, Sinead was introduced to The Chris Aked Foundation, a charity that provides support to the Children of families going through cancer and other life affecting illnesses. This includes offering respite and normality through physical and sporting activities, counselling support, and creating memory-making days for all the family to enjoy together.

All that we hope for, is to raise at least £1,000 for this charity – Oh!... and for the weather to be kind to us on the day.
