Story
Look Good Feel Better is a leading cancer support charity with the mission to help women and men struggling mentally and physically with the side effects of their cancer treatment. They provide practical advice and wellbeing workshops virtually, in hospitals and cancer center's across the UK.
Workshops are led by trained volunteers, who support women, men and young adults who are affected both visibly and emotionally from the side-effects of treatment.
The charity helps to improve confidence and self-esteem, provide practical advice, and reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety, enabling a more positive mental attitude during what can be a truly difficult time for people living with cancer.
The impact LGFB has on it's beneficiaries is enormous, as highlighted by Brooke; 'I am 42 years old and last August I was diagnosed with breast cancer – it’s been a pretty grueling journey so far. I have two girls, aged 4 and 8 and I am showing them this journey can be done and that I will win! I want them to see me looking as "normal" as possible and this is where the Look Good Feel Better workshop massively helped me. I now have the confidence to apply my make-up and the gift bag of wonderful make-up and skincare we were given has helped me create a look I love, even without hair or natural lashes. Thankyou ! It was also really nice to meet other ladies going through the same journey and just talk about our experience'.
At Revlon we are committed to supporting Look Good Feel Better, and this year, 14 of us are taking on the Lake District Ultra Challenge 29K Trek to help raise the much needed funds for the charity!
