Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

14 years ago, my husband PAUl suffered a brain injury. It took me at least two years before I accepted I was a carer and that is when I joined the brain injury group based in Aberdeen. In all honesty, it was my saving grace at very difficult period for myself and my family.
Brain injury, Grampian, known as BIG. Arranges trips away for the brain injury sufferer, parents, partners and family members. There is also group meetings and especially important to myself carers weekends away to receive Much-needed respite. And in my case some much needed sleep. Over the years I have made many special friends and we all try very hard to support each other. BIG relies completely on fundraising and donations.

I enjoy walking as it gives me time to think and reflect, and I therefore decided to take part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, which is 18 miles To help raise funds supporting this group to continue with its great work. I would be grateful for any help in raising these funds. It doesn’t matter how little as that all adds up.

With thanks Liz Breen
