Story
At 87 I decided to do a wing walk for charity and I loved it and did a further four wing walks all for charity.
My last wing walk was on the 4th August 2022. I did the ‘Loop the Loop’ and a ‘Barrel Roll’, becoming the oldest female wing walker in the world and gained my place in the Guinness Book of Records. Now 4 years later at 97 I am taking to the skies again to beat my own world record.
I started my nurse training at Cheltenham General Hospital in 1949 and worked as a sister in the A & E department for most of my career. Last year I had a stoke, the treatment and care I received at Cheltenham was first class and I would like to dedicate this wing walk to all the amazing staff at Gloucestershire Hospitals and raise money for the Cheltenham Stoke Department.
