On Saturday 10th October, I'll be taking part in the Pendleside Hospice Starlight Walk alongside my Mum (Wendy) we will be walking under the stars in celebration and remembrance of my Grandad Brian who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. He loved classical music , watching the cricket and spending time with family usually at a pub ! He loved a fish and chips supper too. It's not going to be the same without you Grandad and hearing you say "Hello love" in your Yorkshire accent I will cherish in my memories.

Pendleside Hospice provides compassionate care and support to patients and families across Burnley and Pendle at some of life's most difficult times. They provide end of life care that supports the person and their family. I've been volunteering for the charity since last year and I enjoy the team I work alongside.

That's why I'm taking on the Starlight Walk. Every step I take and every pound you donate will help Pendleside Hospice continue to deliver outstanding care to local people when they need it most.
