RIDE AND STRIDE is on Saturday 9th September 2023. It takes place every year on the second Saturday of September to raise funds to preserve our historic Warwickshire church and chapel buildings for future generations.

Story

RIDE AND STRIDE is on SATURDAY 9th September 2023.

This is my annual cycle ride around the churches in Warwickshire. I am cycling round the 5 churches in the Benefice of Arden Valley in which our church of St Mary the Virgin, Bearley lies. I used to do a longer ride but I shall be nearer 80 than 70 by September, so 5 isn't bad!

Half the money raised will go to the benefice; the other half goes to the Warwickshire and Coventry Historic Churches Trust which helps with the upkeep of the local churches.

About the charity

We are a non-religious and self-supporting charity which aims to preserve the rich heritage of church buildings for future generations. We make grants towards the repair and maintenance of churches in all parts of Warwickshire and the city of Coventry.
