Werneth Concert Band has Maggie's Oldham as our chosen charity for this year - it is close to the hearts of many in the band for the phenomenal work they do for those with cancer and the people around them.

On 28th June members of the band, along with family, friends are walking from Maggie's in Oldham back to our band's home, the Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre, at Chadkirk Industrial Estate near Romiley, Stockport - a distance of about 13 miles. Some members are aiming for the full 13 miles, whereas others are joining along the route.

The money raised by the walk will be shared between Maggie's and the band.
