Hello!

I'm currently doing a SEN internship at an amazing charity called Adventure Plus, in their lovely AIM department. AIM helps children and young people reach their potential and make positive life choices, whilst giving them a fantastic time in the great outdoors!

From the 9th to the 14th of May I will be stuck in a canoe with my sister for 6 days with no escape. We will be doing a 127-mile challenge from Witney to Westminster which is the longest Charity Canoe Marathon in the UK, taking us right into the heart of London. The funds will be going towards digging a 4 acre lake onsite, which will help us reach even more young people through watersports activities which include canoeing, paddle-boarding and my favorite, kayaking!

Adventure Plus has really encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and face a few fears since starting the gap year almost a year and a half ago. It has helped grow me and given me a lot more confidence in myself and life again and has really helped further my relationship with Jesus.
