Elizabeth’s fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Trust (MS Trust)

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I am fundraising for the MS Trust and running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 06th 2025.
I care for my mum who was diagnosed with MS in 2009 and in the last few years her condition has developed into Secondary Progressive MS. My mum had to retire from work on ill health grounds in 2015. Last year my mum suffered life-threatening pulmonary embolisms due to her challenged mobility and more recently with Trigeminal Neuralgia as secondary issues to the demylenation of her nerves and is awaiting surgery.
The life expectancy of people with MS is generally about 5 to 10 years shorter than the general population however this gap is narrowing due to advances in treatment and better overall care.
The MS Trust is a UK charity which is there to help everyone make sense of MS. They are there for everyone affected by MS, from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. They are there today, tomorrow and every day after that.
The MS Trust receive no government or NHS funding. It's only thanks to the generosity of our supporters that they continue their work
