Story
Sians Walk
Hi, my name is Liz and I'm fundraising for Doctors without Borders and Re-Solv in memory of my beautiful daughter Sian.
I am hoping to raise awareness around the dangers if solvent abuse. Something which is rarely talked about.
Sian passed away on Christmas Day 2020. This will be our 5th year without her. I want to attempt something epic to honour her. Sian was an amazing soul who advocated for everyone, particularly minorities and the oppressed. She would go out of her way to help anyone who needed it, whether you were family, friend or stranger.
If Sian was alive today, I believe she would be fighting for the rights of people who needed her help.
That is partly the reason why I chose Doctors without Borders. Another reason is the amazing work they do to provide life saving medical aid to those affected by conflicts such as genocide and civil war.
At the end of April 2026, I will be walking across Europe in an attempt to cross as many Borders as possible, finishing on Christmas day 2026.
I am self funding this charity fundraiser and hope to raise funds to help in a separate gofundme which is called Fundraising for Sian's walk. If you are able to I would be very grateful for donations.
Thank you for reading and thank you for your support,
Liz.
