Elizabeth Knight is raising money for British Heart Foundation
In memory of Richard Knight

Cheshire Triathlon · 11 May 2025

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

On May 11th, I will be taking part in the Cheshire Triathlon, with my dear friends, in memory of my husband Richard who suffered acute heart failure whilst out walking in the Clwydian hills, 5 years ago. Despite all efforts, he sadly died aged 50. Carys, Steffan and I miss him every day.

I will also be taking part in memory of Kiam, Carys' friend who died suddenly of a cardiac arrest in December 2023, aged just 22.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only through donations that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures allowing families to spend precious extra time with their loved ones, whatever their age.
