We support families of children and adolescents with cancer from anywhere in the UK. CCPA helps to ease the desolation that families feel when their child is diagnosed with cancer through a network of support groups. The charity provides advice and information on all aspects of childhood cancer.

Story

In May 2021, Mrs Farish's son Max was diagnosed with a rare but aggressive form of soft tissue cancer days before his 12th birthday. He underwent radical treatment, major surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy that lasted for 18 months. The treatment seemed to have been successful and with much rehabilitation Max returned to school, scouting and all the other activities he loves doing.

Devastatingly, in May this year, after a very brief period of illness, Max’s family discovered that the tumour had returned. This time it is incurable. Max has had brain surgery to reduce the tumour and Max’s family are now considering the best options for slowing the progression of the disease. Max truly is amazing. He is the strongest, kindest and bravest person you will ever meet.

In support of Max and Team Farish we are raised money for CCPA, a local charity that supports families after a childhood (or adolescent) cancer diagnosis.
