UK Police Unity Tour 2025

UK Police Unity Tour 2025 · 1 August 2025 to 3 August 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
It's been a long long time since I truly challenged myself on the bike and as I turned half a century this year, it seemed as good a time as any to get back on it. This year I feel honored to have grabbed a spot with the Scottish chapter of the Police Unity Tour which is a long-distance cycle ride undertaken by hundreds of police officers across the UK in aid of Care of Police Survivors (COPS).
The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty.
The secondary purpose of the UK tour is to raise funds for Care of Police Survivors, a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty.
The Scottish riders will cycle 212 miles over three days from Gretna on the 31st July to Tamworth.
Day 1 Gretna to Lancaster. Distance: 76 miles. Elevation Gain: 3,921 feet
Day 2 - Lancaster to Stafford. Distance: 104 miles. Elevation Gain: 3,482 feet
Day 3 - Stafford to Tamworth. Distance: 32 miles. Elevation Gain: 1,300 feet.
On Sunday 4th August we will finish with a short cycle to meet up with the other cyclist from the UK to finish our journey at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, where a Service of Remembrance is being held by COPS for their fallen friends and colleagues.
I don't find cycling as easy as I used to, but I still love getting out and if I can raise money to help those who've lost loved ones, then this challenge will be worth it.
If you are able to support in anyway you can, it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lizzie x
