Story

Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of witnessing the extraordinary work being done by Labour of Love World Ministries.

I have seen lives transformed through their care, generosity and unwavering commitment to serving others - both here in London and abroad.

So I am inviting friends and family to support two important initiatives:

- The Labour of Love Youth Programme, which provides guidance, mentorship, support and positive opportunities for young people in London.

- The building of a community school in Aqua Safari, Ghana, helping provide education, opportunity and hope for children who need it most.

Inspired by my daughter, Kismet, I took up running again after an accident that impaired the full use of my right leg.

What began as a fun way to spend time together has grown into a passion and joy for both of us.

We ran a 10K race together in November 2025. Since then, we have completed the Hampton Court Half Marathon on 15 February 2026 and Verbier Trail Run on 12 July 2026 and signed up for the Amsterdam Marathon on 18 October 2026 and The Children's Society: London Marathon on Sunday 25 April 2027.

The Verbier Trail Run was our greatest challenge yet, covering 28 kilometres through the Swiss Alps and climbing approximately 1,800 metres in elevation.

Running has brought changes in perspective and resilience to both of our lives. Through this fundraiser, I hope to extend some of those same gifts to children who are in need of guidance, care, support, education and encouragement, wherever they may be.

If you feel able to donate, no matter the amount, I would be so grateful.

Thank you so much! Wish us luck!
