I have been involved with The Theatrical Guild, TTG, for 30 years whose remit is supporting all who work backstage and front of house in their hour of need. These employees are the backbone of the theatre industry without whom no performance could take place. Over the years the charity has grown from giving financial support to now helping people recover from ill health or injury, overcome sudden set backs, access mid- career training or provide support with their mental health.

This year The Theatrical Guild’s goal is to raise £24k in ‘24.

As President of the charity I am kickstarting the fundraiser by jumping out of a plane with Skydive Zanzibar on my 70th birthday. Mad, yes, but important as every penny counts in helping TTG to continue their support of those backstage and front of house staff in need
