Story
I am raising funds to support my brother's friend, Jasper Dix, and the Brain Tumour Charity by giving a music recital at 6pm on September 26th 2026.
The event will take place in the village church of Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire and will be a vocal recital with organ accompaniment. I will be collaborating with Lila Klikovac (soprano) and Henry Hiscock (organ).
Concert entry is by voluntary donation to this page. I would be grateful if you would confirm attendance for planning purposes to: archiemoncrieffwhite@gmail.com.
Jasper is doing incredible things, working tirelessly to raise funds including walking the Thames Path National trail earlier this year, organising dinners and auctions and is now going to undertake a walk through the Pyrenees. Please read Jasper's story below:
In December of 2024, following a couple of epileptic seizures, I was diagnosed with a grade 4 astrocytoma which has a typical prognosis of 1-5 years. I was expedited into surgery on New Year's eve and then began 9 months of treatment which included radiotherapy and chemotherapy. As a result, I began thinking of ways to simultaneously connect with my many friends and raise money for a good cause. Having walked the Thames Path National trail in May 2026 over three weeks, to fundraise for The Brain Tumour Charity, I have now decided that I will continue the fun with a two week walk through the Pyrenees on the GR10. The Brain Tumour charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Your donation will help them find new treatments, offer the highest level of support and drive urgent change."
