It's been 20 years since my own cancer journey and having turned 60, I though it was time to celebrate, reflect and challenge myself whilst raising funds for a a great charity. Over the years I have seen friends walk through surgery and treatment and for some, the end of their journey here. So, I am excited to share that I will be participating in "Breast Cancer Now's Night in the Wild 2025 - Lake District" on June 7, 2025. This event is not just a challenge for me; it is a vital opportunity to contribute to the fight against breast cancer.

For one night, I will immerse myself in nature, building a shelter and spending the night outdoors without any of my home comforts. I will trade my warm bed for a sleeping bag and my usual routine for the soothing sounds of the dawn chorus. This experience symbolizes the resilience and strength of those affected by breast cancer, reminding us all of the challenges they face every day.
