Story
Ensuring that children with disabilities have the opportunity to swim is the biggest unmet need in sport today. The water takes your weight; it’s a true leveller. It relieves pain and offers freedom and independence that many children never experience elsewhere.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water. Level Water work in partnership with pools and swim schools around the country. They train teachers and help with funding to offer high-quality one-to-one lessons to children with disabilities.
On Sunday 5th July, my wonderful friend Bella and I will be swimming 10km up the River Dart to raise money for this incredible cause. We then take to the water again at the start of September, to swim the length of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake! We are so lucky to have spent the last year moving our bodies and training together in some beautiful outdoor swimming locations - we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to do the same, regardless of disability.
Thank you so much in advance for your help and support to make this happen <3
