Story
Hello!! I’m running the Berlin Marathon, this will be my first ever marathon, and I’m doing it to support Brain Research UK. This fantastic charity funds essential research into neurological conditions such as brain tumours, spinal-cord injuries, headaches and works to uncover causes, develop treatments and improve lives across the UK.
With every mile I run and every pound donated, I hope to help give people affected by brain or spinal-cord conditions a better chance for treatment, recovery and hope.
This cause means a lot to me personally. I’ve cared for someone who suffered a severe spinal-cord injury and was left paralysed from the neck down. Seeing firsthand how life-altering and devastating that is, not just physically, but emotionally, has stayed with me... Imagine if one day research could reverse even part of that damage, so that people didn’t have to suffer or lose all ability to move. That’s the kind of progress Brain Research UK is working toward and it's incredible.
Please support me in this challenge- your donation, big or small, will go directly to funding life-changing neurological research, and bring us one step closer to better treatments and brighter futures for those affected. Thank you 💙
