#TeamAorta - helping save lives by funding advances in aortic dissection patient care through research.

Story

Hello! 👋 I will be donning my running shoes and putting in the kms to run the Royal Park Half Marathon on 13th October 2024 for the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust, a charity close to my heart.

As many of you know, my Dad suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on 18th September 2023. After weeks of waiting on the cause of death, we learnt that he had passed away from a sudden aortic dissection - a condition we had never heard of before.

Since researching and trying to understand what happened to Dad, my family have learnt that it is a difficult condition to diagnose and therefore many lives are tragically lost through mis or late diagnosis.

I hope that I can make a small difference through raising valuable funds for the charity to continue their research into the condition, reducing the risk of death and saving lives.

Thank you and lots of love!

Ella xx (and Dad 💝)
