Ella is at it again, but what ridiculousness has she signed herself up for this time?!

September's challenge of running 100km and cycling 250km in 10 days with no training clearly wasn't enough for me, so guess what.... I'm running the LONDON MARATHON!

Having quite comprehensively broken myself in September, I thought "hell, let's make this worse". I am STILL yet to run further than 10 km..... ever.... But the marathon is only four 10 kms so should be okay once I get going, right?

Training started way back in December (finally able to walk almost pain free after September's antics), and yet, the horrors persist. Still struggling with a plethora of knee issues, shin and calf pain, colds, oh and the sheer lack of desire to train in the British winter have meant I am WAY off the mark with training. But that just makes it more entertaining....

SO. With 9 weeks to go, and a good few more miles to cover, I am starting my fundraising campaign. The INCREDIBLE support I had for my challenge back in September is the one thing that carried me over that finish line, and so we are going to need to go even bigger this time to get me through the finish line in London!

I am fundraising as part of an incredible group from SQEP Ltd., all in support of Children with Cancer UK. The team goal is to raise a WHOPPING £26000, giving all of us a hefty target of £2000 each to raise.

The team running the marathon is part of a wider fundraising challenge we have committed to at SQEP....

In support of our nominated charity 'Children with Cancer UK' and to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of SQEP, the SQEP10 Challenge 'Global Edition' was born.

This challenge will see team SQEP travel a distance of over 40,000km to simulate a complete revolution around the world.

But there is a twist! The last 500km will be completed by a contingent of SQEP that are participating in the London Marathon. If team SQEP do not cover the required distance in advance of the marathon, then the whole challenge fails. If the marathon runners do not complete the distance on the 27th April 2025, then the whole challenge fails. This is unquestionably a case of all for one and one for all!

We will be supporting Children with Cancer UK and would welcome as much support as possible in achieving our fundraising target.
