Story
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for visiting my page.
As you may know (likely considering it is a good chunk of my personality at this point), I am running the London Marathon 2026 for Sarcoma UK. I will be running in loving memory of my wonderful Uncle Greville, who we sadly lost to Sarcoma in June 2024. To know my Uncle Greville was to love him and we miss him every single day. I was so lucky to have such a close relationship with him, and we spoke many times about me one day taking on this challenge, so it is incredibly meaningful and special to me to be able to do this and I know he will be with me the whole way.
I am taking on this challenge to raise as much as I possibly can, as well as raising awareness for this amazing charity, and to hopefully help prevent other people losing loved ones to this cruel disease.
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
As part of my training I will also be taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon, all whilst trying to raise as much as possible for Sarcoma UK. For those that know me well, you will know I can often be found running laps around HGS, but training for and completing the marathon will be a huge challenge for me, and I am excited to see what I can achieve, all whilst raising money for an incredible cause.
Thank you so much for your support and any donations - they will truly make a difference and I am so grateful.
With love,
Ella x
