This summer I will travel to Romania with some fellow students to volunteer with the charity Children in Distress (https://childrenindistress.org/).

This trip involves travelling to Bucharest, Romania to play and spend time with the children that the charity works with. These children are disadvantaged and facing so many challenges in life. We will also be involved in some community outreach in Curtea de Arges to meet with children who have gained educational scholarships through the charity.

As someone who has volunteered with children and young people for 4 years, this project feels like one where I can truly help make a difference and support an excellent charity who do this work every day.

This fundraising allows us to go on the trip and do the volunteering that it is all about. It includes a healthy donation to the charity and covers our accommodation, meals, and transport in Romania.
